I’m excited to share that I’ve started as Supply Chain Director for Mars Wrigley UK & Ireland!Over the last 3 months I’ve had the chance to meet lots of new and familiar faces, learn all about our end to end supply chain, and even dress up as a space engineer (who said supply chain isn’t rocket science!?). I’m grateful for Mars to trust me to deliver in my own way as a new working Mama! Here are some reflections from my first months back in the working world. 🫂 Support system - who do you need around you to be at your best as you transition back to work? For me, that’s my super-supportive husband and feeling I can be me at work thanks to the best colleagues (many of them are true friends!). I’m also fortunate to have the support of a coach which has been invaluable to reflect & course correct.💕Be kind to yourself - what advice would you give a friend or colleague in your shoes? Pace yourself & reset your expectations. Remember you’re learning a new rhythm as a family & you’re doing your best, so give yourself a pat on the back from time to time!🤩 Enjoy it - what is it you truly enjoy about work? Spending time away from your family isn’t easy, so where possible put your energy towards the things you’ll enjoy the most. And when there’s a day that’s more challenging than the rest, I remember why I’m doing it all: to be the best possible role model for my daughter Eliesa, so she grows up knowing she can do anything she puts her mind to.#supplychain #womeninsupply #tomorrowstartstoday #returntowork #proudlymars

Brilliant Unilever Pakistan! 👍 I truly believe that we are living in times where collective efforts within families are required. Another unfortunate aspect of our society is our complete reliance on a single individual. The majority depends on "One Salaried Person," which means that the remaining 5 to 6 people are also dependent on that sole earner. This situation leads to 5 to 6 sets of expenses and opportunities revolving around one individual, resulting in immense pressure on that person. This, in turn, contributes to the rise in social crimes and illegal activities. From every perspective, we need to think differently and break free from these old ideas and concepts.#salariedperson

Raising the Minimum Wage to a certain competetive Level is only one of the issues in our Job Market, but just for the minimum wage workers who are working with almost no support from anybody, we need policy makers to take steps like. 1. We should know the Total Population of our Country. 👉 Census 2. We should know each detail that matters like Essential Commodities prices, Daily or Monthly Expenses, Employed Persons per House, Services Bills.3. We must shape our annual Budget to give stability to the Job Market.4. We should give as much tax exemption as possible. For the minimum wagers ZERO TAX.5. Highest Payed Employees should be incremented less often than Minimum Wage Workers.6. We should also set an annual Minimum Accumulated Wage so that for 12 months the wage stays or only increases above the minimum Level set.
